Menopause Tests
A menopause test assesses hormone levels to determine whether a woman is transitioning into menopause or has reached menopause, providing crucial insights into her reproductive health. This evaluation includes several tests: a transvaginal ultrasound for detailed images of the uterus and ovaries to detect abnormalities, an OGTT Non-Pregnant (75 g) to assess glucose processing and identify potential insulin resistance or diabetes, a lipid profile to monitor cholesterol and triglycerides for cardiovascular health, a 12 Lead ECG to check heart rhythm and detect potential heart issues, a chest PA X-ray to evaluate lung and heart health, and a mammography to screen for breast cancer, which becomes increasingly important as the risk rises with age. These tests are recommended for women around the age of 45 to 55, particularly as symptoms of menopause appear, to assess hormone levels and related health changes effectively.
